The Call that could Kill

Call Waiting The most intriguing yet creepy book I've ever read is Call waiting. From the moment I picked it up I knew it was going to be scary by the blood on the phone receiver on the cover of the book. I opened it and read the first line which said, "The frightening phone calls began less than an hour after Karen," a teenager who was skinny, had dark hair, and dark eyes, "had the fight with Ethan," her boyfriend. At that time I knew it was going to be scary. As I read on it stated the tone of the book. "One week before the fight, on a snowy, bone-chilling, Saturday night, Karen Masters pulled her blue Corolla onto Jefferson, Ethan's street. The tires crunched over the salted pavement as Karen eased on the curb and cut the headlights." It immediately sent chills down my spine. I think the scariest part of the book was when Karen actually got the real phone calls. "Leave me alone! Do your hear me?" Karen cried angrily. " But I'm inside your brain Karen," the frightening voice rasped. " I can't leave you alone. I'm going to kill you. Maybe tonight." I was shocked at the next part when it said, "Karen started to cry out again-but she muffled herself when she heard the sound. A sound behind the rasping voice. One sound. Karen listened to the sound. Heard it again clearly. And knew who the caller was." Trust me the caller really isn't who you think. To find out whom the caller is you will have to read the book. Believe me this book really kept me wanting to read more. I would highly recommend it.

Have you ever been betrayed by someone before? Well, Karen, the main character, gets betrayed by someone really close to her in Call Waiting. This is a mystery book written by R.L. Stine.

The book Call Waiting is about a girl named Karen who is dating a guy named Ethan. She suspects that her boyfriend is cheating and lying to her. Also, they stopped hanging out. Then Karen starts getting creepy phone calls saying that they are going to kill her. Everyone thinks that she is making that up so she can get Ethan's attention. So is Karen lying or telling the truth that they are going to kill her?The theme in Call Waiting is that there is always going to be somebody who is going to betray you.

I recommend Call Waiting to people who like mystery books. The reason why is because you don't know what's going to happen next. The author tries to confuse you.

I haven't even finished it and I hate it!!!!

Oh puh-lease! What a horribly-written book! You know, this is proof that R.L. Stine should stop writing so quickly. He doesn't concentrate and notice the junk that he can create! Okay, I'm not dissing Stine, but this book was horrible. The story didn't even make sense. I bought it becuase I read a review here and someone said "a person who calls a victim before going to kill them" or something like that. Well, I picked it up without reading the back and when I did read the back, it made no sense! I don't know if anyone noticed this, but everyt time that killer SUPPOSEDLY called her, Karen always returned to Ethan saying, "Oh, Ethan! It was him! He had such an ugly voice! He said he was going to kill me!" I think that's pathetic. She can't even lie well. I obviously know how this ends from reading all these reviews (Thank you readers for keeping me from continuing this junk!) so I'm just going to read the end. I haven't even finished this book, and already it's one of the worst books I've ever read. I recommend NOT getting it. Thank You. :)

A timely book.

This book came into my possession at the perfect time. My 5 month old was scheduled to under his second open heart surgery, and I felt all alone in so many areas and ways. The rawness that Chad brings to the table encouraged me, helped me to cry and pray, acknowledge my fears, and helped shine hope into my path. I think it also can help provide someone on the other side (someone who is trying to be a support to someone that has a child that is sick, in the hospital, or given a heartbreaking diagnoses) a picture of how to help and be a encouragement, and maybe give insight into the unspoken that a parent goes through. There were times I snapped at someone because I was overwhelmed with anxiety and fear, and it was due to me bottling it up, and I just went off on someone who was iinnocent, who hadn't a clue what was going on. This is just me, but I think this is a path that life doesn't prepare you for, and it's scary, and you feel like you are walking all alone, or are being dragged through hell, and are powerless. I felt like Chad was on my level, expressed himself well, and is straight up... this isn't right, it isn't fair, it isn't fun, but... but... A but isn't the end of the sentence, is means there is more to come. And I needed that.

Best book I've read

WOW WOW WOW. I am not a huge fan of reading but I do love Chad and Julia's hearts for the Lord and for people so I gave it a try. What an amazing book! I sat down and read it in ONE DAY!!!! Guys please get this book it's beyond amazing and will change your life ❤️

Great book! Amazing to read and see all that God has done for Chad and his beautiful family. I will never stop praying for little Georgia's miracle healing. She has my heart. Incredible story of faith, hope and love in an unchanging, ever-loving God!

Great Place To Start!

This is a really excellent book, with simple advice, great illustrations and examples. Better than many 'how to' books that are all over the place, mixing genres and materials. I've found clear advice on some tricky processes that I've had all back-to-front. I'm coming to watercolor from drawing, and it's teaching me to be much less of a fusspot about pointless detail.
If I had any criticism, it would be the relatively small type size, which may be a burden to older readers.

An inspiring, beautiful, thoughtful book filled with great information about techniques and historic methods. Some of my favorite artists - who doesn't love to learn more about Turner's watercolor practices? Mr. Smibert's examples throughout are wonderful. An excellent companion to the earlier How to Paint like Turner.

About the Author
Stephen P. Robbins received his Ph.D. from the University of Arizona. He previously worked for the shell Oil Company and Reynolds Metals Company and has taughtat the University of Nebraska at Omaha, Concordia University in Montreal, the University of Baltimore, Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville, and San Diego State University. Dr. Robbins; research interests have focused on conflict, power and politics in organizations, behavioral decision making, and the development of effective interpersonal skills. His articles on these and other topics have appeared in such journals as Business Horizons, California Management Review, Business and Economic Perspectives, International Management, Management Review, Canadian Personnel and Industrial relations, and Journal of Management Education.

Dr. Robbins is a best-selling textbook author in the areas of management and organizational behavior. His books have sold in excess of three million copies and are currently used by students in more than a thousand U.S. colleges and universities, and have been translated into16 languages.

Dr. Robbins also actively participates in masters' track competition. Since turning 50 in 1993, he has set numerous indoor and outdoor age-group world sprint records. A pretty great overview of organizational behavior

I'm a physician taking a graduate course in informatics and was assigned this (expensive) book for a class. It is actually a really fantastic book, well-organized, with just about the right level of detail. I took a lot away from this book with regard to issues like employee motivation, leadership, office politics, and other HR issues. I was pleased with this book.

Textbook, but easy to follow

We used this textbook for several courses in my Organizational Behavior program. Of all the texts we've used, this one has been the most valuable. The text is easy to read and is interesting, and the book offers a great deal of case studies to really emphasize the points. Overall, I think this is a great textbook and it is very versatile in business courses.

I attended an Organizational Behavior graduate level program that used this textbook. I was very impressed with the quality and consistency of writing. I have suffered through enough bad textbooks to appreciate decent writing and organization. This was superb.

You can see all of this reflected in his writing, but there is something more, something difficult to describe or define. It is at once a heavy gravitas that infuses his verse, and a blinding luminescence of faith in something he has found, within himself, in his wanderings. This is what he brings, and hopes to share with us. The ability to transform the weight of the world into energy. The more you doubt this young man, the more you will see as he sees all things.

A Triumph!

Are you tired of books with coherent writing, factual content and proper arrangement? Are you looking for over 500 pages of the insane ramblings of a schizophrenic so high on LSD he thinks he's found God? Do you want to read a book by a man who claims to be the last High Priest because he dropped 12 tabs and watched The Blair Witch Project? Then this book is for you! Includes loads of handwritten diagrams that explain nothing and plenty of fake maths, lofty arrogant and farcical claims by the author and sentences that run on much much longer than this one ever could. Also the writing is really bad and there's a lot of spelling mistakes.
